Our Eye Exam Team

Karen is our Office Manager and Lead Optician.  She has more than 20 years of experience in the Optical field and Optometric field.  Karen is ABO Certified (American Board of Opticianry) and NCLE (National Contact Lens Exam) Certified.  From eyewear frames, eyeglasses lenses, contact lenses, and to eyecare, Karen is one of the most knowledgeable in the field.  There is very little subject matter that Karen does not know about in Opticianry and Optometry.  If you are looking for something special in eyewear frames, Contact Lenses, or Eye testing talk to Karen.  She can help you find what you need.  Karen has a love for river rafting, camping and outdoor activities.

Pamela is our Receptionist and Optometric Assistant.  She has been responsible in taking in our plentiful telephone calls and maintaining our schedules.  Pamela's always pleasant nature makes it easy for you to talk to her.  Many of our patients have remarked that she has been wonderful in returning calls and providing customer service.  She has been a wonderful team player by being able to help out in all areas of the office from the front desk, pre-testing, the contact lens department and even in our lens laboratory department.  If you need help, call for Pamela.  If she is not able to help you, Pamela can find help for you.  When Pam is not at work, she loves watching movies and is a movie buff!

Sheila is our "Mrs. Hawaiian Sunshine".  She was born and raised on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and came to California in 1999.  In addition to American English, Sheila can also converse in Tagalog, Japanese, and Pidgin!  Sheila cheerfully services our office as our main Optometric Assistant with her more than 15 years experience working in Opticianry, Optometry, and Ophthalmology.   Her phenomenal  memory and knowledge amazes all of us and her happy nature makes you wonder if she ever has a "bad day".  Sheila will pleasantly educate you as she performs her duties in special-testing, frame styling, or contact lens training.  If you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask Sheila, she will answer them pleasantly for you or find out the answers for you.  Sheila has been happily married for 10 years and has 3 wonderful "keikis" (children) with whom she spends most of her spare time with.  She also enjoys working on crossword puzzles, playing Wheel of Fortune, and keeping in touch with friends and family on My Space and Face Book. 

Teresa has been in the optical industry for over 5 years. During those years she accumulated a tremendous amount of optical knowledge from eyeglasses, fashion frame styling, contact lens knowledge to general eye care.  Although Teresa currently serves primarily as our Lab Technician, her optical knowledge from eyeglass lenses to fashion frame styling to contact lens knowledge far exceeds many veteran opticians with double the experience!  Additionally, Teresa has been a great problem solver for our patient’s optical challenges.  Her passion has always been in the optical field.  If you have any questions regarding ophthalmic lenses or eye care, she is the one to answer your questions and needs.

On a personal note, Teresa is a very busy person. She takes care of her dog named “Buddy” and will be married this June 2011 to her long time fiancé Andy.  On top of that, Teresa is currently going to school to major in Biology.  Her future goal is to become an Optometrist!  Anything less would be surprising!
